I rented specifically from you to get a minivan as we were coming from the airport and needed extra space. I even went into the office 2 weeks in advance to look at the van and make sure the luggage and passengers could fit. I was assured the van would be available.
I get a call from my brother one hour before boarding my international flight that the minivan was not available. He had to scramble to find another drive to make a 140 miles roundtrip in an additional car to pick us up at the Newark Airport.
The manager, who I spoke with on an international call was RUDE, not helpful, made no offer to help and would not even rent us a second car for a reduced fee. He basically said, if i dispute the original rental car fees, he would refuse to let the car go off the lot. Blackmail.
Claimed loss: Had to hire an additional person to get a car that could fit all the people and luggage to drive one hour down to the airport and back to Easton, PA.3 additional hours of a driver's time, mileage, gas and tolls. $200
Desired outcome: My rental to be fully refunded as the minivan that we reserved was NEVER PROVIDED. Manager = rude obnoxious & unhelpful. Told me the people who rented the van before us did not return it. They were 6 hours away.
