Royal Chess Mall

I gotta say, I was pretty let down by my experience with Royal Chess Mall. I ordered this fancy chess set from them and when it arrived, there were all sorts of little issues with it. The latches on the box wouldn't even close all the way, there were dents in the wood, and even the dice had some weird misprints on them. Not exactly what I was expecting for the price I paid, you know?

So I tried to reach out to their customer service team to see if they could help me out, but it took them like a whole month to even respond to my emails. And even then, they weren't super helpful. I mean, I get that things can get busy, but come on, guys.

Overall, I'm just really bummed about the whole thing. I was hoping for a top-notch chess set that I could show off to all my friends, but instead I got something that feels kinda cheap and poorly made. Not cool, Royal Chess Mall. Not cool.

Product and service from Royal Chess Mall have been pretty good, but I gotta say, FedEx is a real mess. My latest order has been lost in New Delhi for a whole five days now. It's frustrating, especially since FedEx has messed up before and not followed proper delivery procedures. I'm not too optimistic that they'll do any better this time around, but we'll see.

So, I recently bought a chess set from Royal Chess Mall (royalchessmall.com). I paid the fees they asked for and waited for my set to arrive. But, it was late and when it finally arrived, I noticed that there was a difference in the size of the king. I was disappointed and frustrated, to say the least.

I tried to get this issue resolved by contacting their customer service, but every time I asked for an update, I was just fobbed off. It's been quite testing to deal with their aftercare service.

It's a shame because the sets they offer are actually pretty good. But, the aftercare service is not up to par. I hope they can improve on this aspect of their business.

So, I gotta say, I've used Royal Chess Mall before and it was pretty good. But my last buy was a bit of a letdown. I got this big ol' chess board, 21 inches and all fancy with golden rosewood and maple and whatnot. But when it arrived, it was all scratched up on the corners and even the surface. I mean, come on, man. I hit up Royal Chess Mall about it four days ago and I ain't heard nothing back yet. Not cool, guys.

I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the reproduction of the Austrian chess figures from Royal Chess Mall. They look pretty darn good, and that "antique" finish is spot on. However, I do have one small gripe - some of the figures are a bit wiggly. It seems like the weight wasn't placed deep enough into the figures, which is a bummer. I mean, come on guys, that's like the final step in making chess figures! If they had just taken a little more time and paid a bit more attention to detail, these figures would have been a clear 5-star rating. But hey, overall I'm still pretty happy with my purchase.

So, I got my order from Royal Chess Mall and it came in a decent amount of time. The package was wrapped up real nice and the stuff inside was looking real pretty. But, I gotta say, I had some trouble figuring out what size chess pieces I needed for the board I picked out. When I finally got the pieces, they were way smaller than I thought they'd be. I was pretty bummed out about that.

I decided to order a bigger board and bigger pieces, but I was worried they wouldn't get here in time for Christmas if I waited for a refund. So, I just went ahead and processed the return separately. But, dang, the postage costs for that return were way more than I expected. I wish I had been more careful before I made my first order.

Overall, I think Royal Chess Mall has some nice stuff, but you gotta be real careful about what you're ordering. Make sure you know what size you need before you hit that confirm button. And be prepared for some high return postage costs if you mess up like I did.
