Overcharged by $20 at Total Wine & More - Buyer Beware!
Be careful when you're shopping at Total Wine & More. I had an issue with my receipt and was overcharged by $20 for a bottle of bourbon. I'm not sure whether it was a mistake or intentional, but it's frustrating nonetheless. I live pretty far away from the store, so it's going to be a pain to go back and request a refund. When I got in touch with customer service, they suggested that I try to find the receipt (which I'm unable to locate) and the bottle (which I had already opened) and then return to the store. Despite the frustration, I have to say that the customer service representative was helpful, which at least made me feel a little better about the situation. It would have been easy for her to brush me off, but she actually seemed to care about my issue. In the end, I'm not sure if I'll return to Total Wine & More. It's tough to know if the overcharge was intentional or just a mistake, but it still left me with a bad taste in my mouth. If you do decide to shop here, just make sure you keep an eye on your receipts. Buyer beware!
Review: Total Wine & More - Great Selection, Some Locations Enforcing Mask Policies
Total Wine & More (totalwine.com) is a great place to shop for all of your wine needs. However, be aware that some location may be enforcing mask policies. For example, at the Sugar Land location, they may ask you to leave if you are not wearing a mask.
It was disappointing to be asked to leave after we had already spent time and money at the store. We had around $800 in our basket and were purchasing for a large party. But unfortunately, one manager asked us to leave because we were not wearing a mask.
We did walk through the store without any issues, passing several employees and other managers who did not say anything about our lack of a mask. It was only when we were in line to check out that we were asked to leave.
It's understandable that the store would want to enforce safety policies, but it's also important to remember that customers may have personal reasons for not wearing a mask. It's a reminder that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways.
That said, if you are someone who does regularly wear a mask, then Total Wine & More (totalwine.com) is a great place to shop. They have a large selection of wine and spirits, and the prices are competitive. It's also easy to find what you are looking for, thanks to the organization of the store.
All in all, if you are looking for a place to shop for wine and spirits, check out Total Wine & More (totalwine.com). Just make sure to bring your mask if you are visiting the Sugar Land location.
Poor Customer Service and Faulty Purchase: My Disappointing Experience at Total Wine & More
I recently made a special purchase at Total Wine & More - a bottle of wine that cost $199. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the bottle, only to find that the cork was broken and the wine inside was undrinkable. It was clear that the bottle had been incorrectly stored at the store - a major blunder in my eyes.
I immediately took the bottle back to the store, hoping that the staff would help resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the manager was far from helpful. In fact, they said, "there is nothing I can do." I was speechless and disappointed at the same time. It's hard to believe that such poor customer service could be offered at such a reputable store. It's safe to say that I won't be shopping here again anytime soon.
It's always frustrating to deal with bad customer service, and it's even more distressing when you're dealing with a pricey purchase. In my case, I didn't even receive a small store credit or offer for a replacement bottle. It's clear that Total Wine & More has a lot of work to do when it comes to looking after their valued customers.
In conclusion, my experience at Total Wine & More was extremely disappointing. The poor customer service I received and lack of resolution for my faulty purchase has left me feeling frustrated and upset. I can't put into words how let down I was by this experience, and I hope that others aren't forced to go through similar situations in the future. It's certainly a loss for Total Wine & More, as they have now lost a valued customer.

Total Wine & More in Braintree Delivers a Fun and Educational Wine Tasting Experience with a Touch of Italy
Visited Total Wine & More (totalwine.com) with the Sons of Italy for a club meeting in Braintree store. Had a great time with Jerry, who helped us learn a lot about the different wines, particularly those from Italy. The wines were all brilliant, and we even had cheese and crackers to snack on. Highly recommend this place to others, had a really fun evening.
Total Wine & More Review: Great Selection, Lackluster Service
Total Wine & More (totalwine.com) is the absolute best when it comes to having what you need and having it in abundance, no questions asked. However, and this is important, I believe they should invest in employees who are a little more passionate about their products. Sometimes, it's an uphill struggle to find someone to aid in your search, but when you do they aren't the most useful. Instead of checking stock or offering personal recommendations, a lot of the time they will bluntly advise an item is out of stock without utilizing their systems or will suggest a product based solely on what the label says. It's disappointing, to say the least, and it can result in you purchasing something that is far from ideal.
Net net - The folks at Total Wine claim that their employees are on a personal mission to provide their consumers with the best service and the greatest selection of wines and spirits. However, there's often no one to be seen, and when you do spy someone, they may not be the most helpful. Their ideals and practices come across as they promise, but less emphasis on quantity of products might be a solution in the short term so that the employees have the chance to be more helpful. A revised blueprint for employee training could add a lot of value.
Unsafe Experience at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, GA: No Mask & Lack of Personal Space
I recently visited the Total Wine & More store in Kinnesor, Georgia on 2-18-22, and unfortunately had a negative experience with a fellow customer. As I was browsing the aisles, this individual continuously came within a foot of me, making me feel uncomfortable. Despite my attempts to move away, he kept coming closer. To make matters worse, he was not wearing a mask in the store, which is concerning given the ongoing pandemic.
When I expressed my concerns to him, he responded in a rude and dismissive manner, saying that the state of Georgia does not require masks to be worn. He even went so far as to ask me if I was scared of him, which was completely uncalled for. I reported this incident to an employee at Total Wine, but was disappointed to hear that there was nothing they could do about it.
As a customer, I expect to feel safe and respected when I shop at a store like Total Wine & More. It's highly disappointing to see such a disregard for basic safety measures like wearing a mask and respecting personal space during a global health crisis. I hope that Total Wine takes this type of situation seriously and takes steps to ensure that all customers feel comfortable and safe while shopping.
Total Wine & More Review: Decent Selection and Prices But Rewards Program Falls Short
Total Wine & More is a liquor store that is well-known for their range of options and great prices. However, there are a few things that I didn't like about my shopping experience. First off, Total Wine & More doesn't have a rewards program that is automatically applied at checkout. You have to manually activate it online and keep track of your rewards yourself. Even after doing this for a year, I realized that I hadn't earned any points. I was disappointed to find out that I had missed out on points just because I hadn't remembered to activate my rewards.
On their website, Total Wine & More does state their terms and conditions for their rewards program, but it's still frustrating to have to keep track of points manually. When I called customer service to ask about my missing rewards, they told me that many people enjoy accumulating points. While I appreciate that they're trying to create an incentive for customers to come back, I think that it would be easier and more effective if the rewards program was automated.
Furthermore, Total Wine & More's reward program seems a bit of a "sham" to me. Their reward program offers $5 off for every 5,000 accumulated points. However, it seems like it would take a long time to accumulate that many points, and it's unlikely that many customers will actually use the reward. I think that Total Wine & More would be better off offering smaller rewards that customers can redeem more quickly.
Overall, I think that Total Wine & More is a good place to buy liquor, but their rewards program isn't great. If you're looking for a liquor store with a decent selection and prices, then this is a good option. However, if you're hoping to earn rewards or get discounts, then you may want to look elsewhere.
My experience at Total Wine: Good selection, but pushy advertising for Winery Direct wines
Total Wine is a good place to find alcoholic beverages like wine and beer. I like that they have lots of choices, but I have noticed that they seem to really want me to buy certain wines. They always talk about the "Winery Direct" wines, but I'm not always a fan of them. I tried their "Buttercream Chardonnay" once and it tasted fake to me, like they added chemicals to make it taste like butter. I told them I didn't like it, but they keep advertising it. This makes me wonder if they make more money from selling these Winery Direct wines, so they really want people to buy them. But they do have some really good wines that aren't advertised as much, so they must just really like the Winery Direct ones. Overall, I think Total Wine is alright, but I also think they could do a better job showing all the good wines they have, not just the ones they want you to buy.
Terrible Customer Service Experience at Total Wine & More: Threatened By Employee and Yelled at By Others
I had an experience at Total Wine & More that was very unpleasant. I had just walked in the store and was needing some help finding a certain bottle, when multiple employees started to hound me about putting on a mask. As someone who has a medical condition that makes it difficult to breathe with a mask on, I was trying to explain this to them, but they didn't seem to believe me.
To make matters worse, this employee named Imad had such a hostile attitude towards me. He started to threaten to call the police on me! I couldn't believe it - the situation was completely out of hand. Then, before I knew it, there were 4 or 5 other employees who surrounded me and started to yell at me, telling me to leave the store.
I decided to raise my voice intentionally so everyone around me would hear what was happening. It was an upsetting and terrifying experience. What kind of place treats their customers like this?
When I left the store, there were a few customers who followed me asking if I was okay and expressing their outrage at what they had just witnessed. It was clear to everyone there that the way I was treated was completely unacceptable, especially since I have medical disabilities.
It's a shame that my trip to Total Wine & More was such a negative one. I hope that they will use this situation as a learning experience and teach their employees to be more understanding and empathetic to their customers. I definitely won't be returning to the store anytime soon.
Unsatisfactory Experience at Total Wine & More: Failure to Exchange Keg, Strict ID Policy, and Poor Customer Service
I recently went to Total Wine & More to exchange a keg with my daughter-in-law and have to say, my experience was not good. So, I dropped off my keg in the front, as I usually do, and we went to pick up another one. When we reached the cash register to checkout, the cashier asked both of us for our IDs. Unfortunately, my daughter-in-law did not have hers with her. The cashier informed us that we could not exchange the keg without the ID. It was a bummer, but I was willing to go back and grab her ID.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the manager told me that I couldn't come back to buy alcohol that same day since I was already caught on camera. I was pretty upset about this, and to make things worse, the manager did not allow me to grab the keg that I returned since she did not witness me dropping it off.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received at Total Wine & More. It was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I would not be visiting the store again.
Although the store has a wide range of products, I would think twice before shopping there based on my experience.
